It is a large-sized frog. The Maximum length of the adults is 14.4cm. Female is larger than male. The dorsal color of the body is green with a light yellow mid-dorsal line while, the ventral part of the body is golden yellow. The head is broad with a flat snout. The tympanum is distinct with distinct supratympanic fold. Both regular and the vomerine teeth are present. Toes are fully webbed. The skin is Smooth and the longitudinal fold is absent.
এটি একটি বড় আকারের ব্যাঙ প্রজাতি। এ প্রজাতির প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক একটি ব্যাঙের সর্বোচ্চ দৈর্ঘ্য ১৪.৪ সেমি হতে পারে। নারী পুরুষের চেয়ে বড়। শরীরের পৃষ্ঠীয় রঙ সবুজ এবং একটি হালকা হলুদ মধ্য পৃষ্ঠীয় রেখা থাকে। শরীরের পেটের দিক সোনালি হলুদ। মাথা চ্যাপ্টা এবং মুখ (snout) প্রশস্ত। কান (Tympanum) স্পষ্ট এবং কানের উপরের ভাঁজ বুঝা যায় (supratympanic fold)। নরমাল এবং ভোমেরিয়ান দাঁত উভয়ই উপস্থিত থাকে। পায়ের আঙ্গুল সম্পূর্ণভাবে লিপ্ত। চামড়া মসৃণ এবং অনুদৈর্ঘ্য ভাঁজ (longitudinal fold) অনুপস্থিত।
The species is entirely aquatic found in freshwater pond, lakes, and wetlands with floting aquatic plants. They feeds on insect, mollusks, small vertibrates. They are active in both day and night. Breeding period lasts from May and continue up to July. Breeds after the first rain. Eggs laid in ponds and paddyfields on aquatic vagetations.
প্রজাতিটি সাধারণত পানিতেই থাকে এবং এদের মিঠা পানির পুকুর, হ্রদ এবং জলাভূমিতে ভাসমান জলজ উদ্ভিদের আশে পাশে পাওয়া যায়। এরা পোকামাকড়, শামুক, ছোট মেরুদণ্ডী প্রাণীদের খেয়ে বেঁচে থাকে। সবুজ ব্যাঙ দিন এবং রাতে উভয় সময়ে সক্রিয় থাকে। প্রজনন মে থেকে জুলাই পর্যন্ত চলতে থাকে। প্রথম বৃষ্টির পর পুরুষ ও স্ত্রী ব্যাঙ মিলিত হয়। পুকুর ও ধানক্ষেতে জলজ উদ্ভিদের উপর এরা ডিম পাড়ে।
